in preparation to become the best educator

thanks to camy, i got to read this brilliant book for free :P
and this is only part one of how the book has impacted my life.
The author wrote this:
"It is an accepted cliche in education that the number one goal of teachers should be to help students learn how to learn. I always saw the value in that, sure. But in my mind, a better number one goal was this: I wanted to help students learn how to judge themselves."
so now,
perhaps it is true.
that the worst students deserve the best teachers.
and that one can only be the best teacher
when he/she makes an impact in the lives of the worst students.
it's time to say goodbye to branding and elitism.
though it's not easy,
but i think that in the next one year before i enter NIE
i'm going to focus all my efforts
to become the best educator that i can be.
