i was really excited to watch MagicBox this time around.
even though we've seen certain illusions way too many times
we can memorize the steps too.
watching it at the Esplanade felt soooooo good.
with the live band and ISKANDAR ISMAIL conducting,
and the world-class dancers with Zaini as the choreographer,
MAN, i enjoyed myself so so much.
and guess what, we were at Circle 3 last night
with a whole bunch of Pierce Secondary and Boy's Town Students.
yes they were noisy, but i grew to enjoy their presence.
i guess for many of them it would have been their first magic show.
and at EVERY illusion, they would go
"whaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
or
"ohhhhhh my goshhh"
or
"HOW DID HE DO THAT?!"
or
"SIA LA, bagus sia!"
(**excuse the little malay boys)
hahahhaa.
because of their enthusiasm and unending excitement,
the show wasn't boring for me because i kept laughing at their comments.
plus, the show was way too touching.
- number one heart-tugging scene: pastor khong and his snow and his levitation act. NEVER FAILS to touch my heart EACH TIME i watch the show.
- number two heart-tugging scene: pastor khong and the spikes and his amazing appearing act. hahaha i have no idea why i felt this was touching now.
oh man, i had to keep reminding myself,
"CHARMAINE TAY, this is a magic show la, not some korean drama"
at the end of the day, i was really glad that all the illusions worked out well.
it was a good show!
i am going to watch it on Saturday again- this time, BETTER seats. =)
but i think all our prayers and fasting have not gone to waste.
just imagine, how many secondary school students would be touched each night?
