we decided to go for the Boston Symphony Orchestra's
LES TROJENS (Part II) by Berlioz
on thursday night.
gush in wonder at the theatre that looks so ancient and pretty.sigh in awe at the BSO's professionalism.
we got centre stage seats for US$36.i thought it was quite worth the money. also,
it was a full orchestra and there was no space on stage for the trumpet section. they had to play behind this door towards the left of the stage. 4 harps! and a very very cute conductor.short, pudgy, curly curly hair at the sides, bald patch on top.i wonder if all conductors look so cute!hahaha. if you want to know how he REALLY looks like, try googling James Levine.
goodness me,but this must be the BEST orchestra performance i have seen in my life. you cannot even begin to compare it with SSO. this is WORLD-CLASS. what an awesome night!plus the opera singers were really good.the chorale was...... fantastic.
just before midnight,
we had to gather together to plan for S.HO's surprise part II!decided to get some whip cream and m&m's and sing her a birthday song when the clock struck 12. doesn't this plan sound familiar?sounds like what SOME people did to me last year huh. =p anw, it turned out to be the craziest whip cream war. i actually ran down 4 flights of stairs barefooted to escape from sam's clutches. hahaha what a night!so samantha ho turns 21.she is legal to vote in singaporean terms. she is legal to drink in american terms. but most of all,
she is legal to be herself and let her true colours shine through! happy happiest birthday sammiehoshuwen.
just for you. :)
You with the sad eyes Don't be discouraged Oh I realize It's hard to take courage In a world full of people You can lose sight of it all And the darkness there inside you Makes you feel so small But I see your true colours Shining through I see your true colours That's why I love you So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colours
True colours are beautiful,
Like a rainbow.
TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS
