last road trip ever, with this bunch of fun-loving people. so we had to treasure every minute we had yesterday as we travelled to Cape Cod.
decided to visit the Woodshole Oceanographic Institution. they were the first group of people who went down in 1985 to look at the remains of the TITANIC.
the museum turned out to be really small! haha but i guess it was worth it. :)
the scenery outside the institution was awesome.
i wonder who the photographer of this shot was.
looks absolutely fantastic to me.
hahahaha.
this is something you won't get in Singapore. so i'm going to print every image of this into my mind.
next stop:
PTOWN!
Province town is exactly what i call a quintessential New England beach town.
nice unique shops along the road that reminded me of my favourite haji lane.
and my dream dog. :) :) :) i love those dogs with lots of hair. imagine hugging them! it would be so warmmm and fluffy.
decided to get some special box lunches before we headed down for our little picnic by the beach.
doing silly stuff..
cuttlefish competition which i won hands down.
trying to feed the seagulls with dog food.
walked down the beach barefooted cause i didn't want to empty my shoes every 5 minutes.
have i grown darker again??!!!!
pls don't say yes.
i like the name of this boat. :)
and the colours stand out for sure.
li lei joined us for the road trip this time. have i mentioned how funny he is?
hahaha. he's a JOKER!!
awww. :( last car rented in boston.
the journey home was so eventful.
firstly, the GPS died on us. thank goodness we had street-smart salimah and ahmad with us. imagine sam and i driving without a GPS.
i think we would still be on the roads back to boston now. haha!
then, out of nowhere, a police car chased us down and the sirens were so blaring i got a shock! we had to pull over and it was a PANICKY moment for all of us.
sighhh.. you know why? cause Salimah was speeding lah. 40mph was the limit and he was going at 60mph. but the policeman was really nice. he didn't give us a ticket, just a nice gentle warning not to speed.
sometimes i think to myself and wonder what going on road trips like these would be like with you guys back in singapore.
i think i would have tons of fun. we would be doing more stupid stuff. :) and i like stupid.
i've had fun.
but.
i miss home.
so here's the song of the moment. haha one song that all of us knew how to sing in the car. road trips are sing-a-long sessions you know?
It's amazing How you can speak Right to my heart Without saying a word, You can light up the dark Try as I may I could never explain What I hear when You don't say a thing The smile on your face Let's me know That you need me There's a truth In your eyes Saying you'll never leave me The touch of your hand says You'll catch me Whenever I fall
You say it best
When you say
Nothing at all
sometimes,
the little actions of encouragement and appreciation mean alot. :)
