Lord, I Offer my life to You
Everything I've been through
Use it for your glory
Lord, I Offer my days to You
Lifting my praise to You
As a pleasing sacrifice
Lord, I offer You my Life
Things in the past, things yet unseen
wishes and dreams that are yet to come true
all of my hopes, all of my plans
my heart and my hands are lifted to You.
[my parents must be soooo happy. i'm putting up music from THEIR GENERATION and their favourite of all favourites-mr don moen. first time on my blog eh!] hahahahaha. =)
finally got down to watching webcast this morning.
and this was the song of the MOMENT after the sermon for me.
yes i'm lagging behind!
but the sermon was really good.
"The King and I- A divine Romance"
I've never ever thought of my relationship with God that way.
and my greatest takeaway is the quote by John Piper.
"If you don't feel strong desires for the manifestation of the glory of God, it is not because we have drunk deeply and are satisfied, it is because we have nibbled so long at the table of the world, our soul is stuffed with small things, there is no room for the great."
whaoo.
so if my life was a box, i'll offer it whole. and with a pretty ribbon at the top.

(this is the best photo i could find of pastor joe kum. haha!)
don't know why, i'm reminded of joe kum everytime we sing such songs. heh heh.
i think that the second verse of this song is really powerful.
Lord we stand by grace in Your presence Cleansed by the blood of the Lamb We are Your children called by Your name Humbly we bow and we pray Release Your power To work in us and through us Till we are changed To be more like You Then all the nations will see Your glory revealed And worship You Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah To the Lamb Hallelujah hallelujah By the blood of Christ we stand Every tongue every tribe Every people every land Giving glory giving honor Giving praise unto the Lamb of God
( NOW'S the time to do the Uncle Joe Pose)*tilt body to the side about 45 Degrees,
right leg in front of left leg, Raise Your right hand,
and slowly ... slowly...
lift your right hand from bottom to top.. and hang it there.
THERE YOU GO. THE FAMOUS POSE. =P
fellowship went very well today.
puay did a great job with worship. did i mention great?
kristin shared with us about Esther.
she reminded us that before success came to Esther, she prayed and fasted.
and this was an act of worship.
this goes hand-in-hand with the fasting that pastor khong talked about eh.
two signs in a day, means i've got to get down to doing it!
so its time for charmaine to start her 40-days fast. it's a little late.
but i'm sure God won't mind. haha.
Dear Lord, thank YOU so much. for blessing all of us with your word and just being with us throughout the whole time. Amen.
TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS
