the original plan for today was to sleep in and do my readings. (many many many readings)
hahaha.
well, i managed to get 2 readings done. hooray.
but expectedly, we ended up doing other stuff.
NO 1: Watched last week's webcast on Psalm15, watched all the worship services.
NO 2: Spent the entire day with Kristin and Connie in Kristin's room.
NO 3: Watched JAY CHOU's SECRET MOVIE again..... and guess what, i have passed the Secret Movie Infatuation to them. haha! they think its ABSOLUTELY the best taiwanese movie ever. and so i've added the piano piece from one of my favourite scenes from the movie. :P
NO 4: When with koreans, do what the Koreans do. hee hee.
So we watched a korean movie called SECRET SUNSHINE. (warning: it's a tear jerker)
but it has won numerous awards at the Cannes International Film Festival. definitely worth watching.
back to last week's sermon.
He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from his heart
and has no slander on his tongue,
who does his neighbour no wrong
and casts no slur on his fellowman,
who despises a vile man
but honours those who fear the Lord,
who keeps his oath even when it hurts.
Psalm 15: 2-4
no breaking of bonds! now i know what Candice was talking about...
hahaha. Okay for the record, i've never thought about breaking my bond with MOE
i haven't even started on my bond!!
but i am actually quite scared of the impending school attachment in July. sounds very far away right? but trust me, i've heard of horror stories during school attachments from fellow MOE scholars. and MOE keeps reminding us of how those on SEP MUST MUST return to Singapore by 29th June. right Angus?
reading the Psalm again after watching the sermon, suddenly it makes me feel like "okay, even if the kids are going to be terrorists, i am so not going to be afraid of them" haha!
thank God for webcasts!
i feel so part of the FCBC family even though i'm..... so far away? :)
and my application for this week is going to be THINKing before i SPEAK.

i think i want to apply the Inspiring and Kind aspects more. because i think that in a new environment like that, it's very hard to say stuff like that to "strangers" and "new found acquaintances"? don't you think it's alot easier to say inspiring and kind stuff to people you've known for a long time because you would know them so well!
and moving on to my thanksgivings for the week!
*drum roll*
the st gab's boys called to tell me about their O'Level Results. i helped them last year with history and social studies. and from a fail, they obtained a B3! Praise God! :) :) :)
thanking God for seeing me through one week of school. PLUS, the fact that i made a new friend from America during history class. and PLUS the fact that after i posted my comments on our discussion board for Modern British history, my professor emailed me to say..
"thank you for your very perceptive comments! i look forward to teaching you this semester." :)
triple YAYY!
i am a little worried for tomorrow. we are going to visit another church.
i thought that we wouldn't be able to visit a church tomorrow for a certain number of reasons.
so yes, that's my prayer request for tonight- that i'll have a blessed time with God tomorrow.
