off to school - day 2

i visited the Guitar Centre today!
so cool, you get to shop in between lessons over here.
haha this shop was just next to my classroom today and there were so many guitars.
too bad we had to leave our bags at the counter or i would have snapped some photos.
loads of piano books inside. couldn't decide which one to get so i am going to think about it carefully first... there's ray charles etc etc.

it's so cold over here. FREEZING!
i miss the sun and the humidity that we get in Singapore!
it's so cold i don't even feel like going anywhere.
staying in my room and keeping warm with a hot cup of cocoa and marshmallows sounds like the best thing to do everyday!

we were all hibernating at warren towers today. :P

and the highlight of the day!

BUBBLE TEA!
SAM and I have been craving for it for a LONG time.
we keep walking past this shop but never had the chance to walk in. haha.
i'm so satisfied.

PAD THAI!!

yummy delicioussssssssssss.
asian food never tasted so good.
this is the best dinner i've had since i came here.
but it's really expensive.
it was US$7.50 for that plate of noodles. :(

we would all love to have dinner here every night.
if only there was....... STUDENT's MEAL. hahaha.

but... their portions are so huge. we didn't finish our food. :(

geri and i have made the resolution to always share our food so that we can...
1. SAVE money
2. Not WASTE food
3. Not get FAT.

i bought 3 textbooks today. Horror of all horrors.
the books are so expensive here
i spent US$100 on 3 books!

i have like 5-6 books to buy for each module but they are all so expensive.
just buying those that are already assigned for our homework and probably get the rest from Amazon. :(

i need one more Module now. hopefully the students in the other classes are friendlier?
i didn't get to make any new friends today.
the americans are so unfriendly! or maybe i am.
i just think that its hard to strike up a conversation with them because they are all in their cliques already.

so tomorrow is friday and then its the Long weekend.
can't wait to visit Harvard. HAHA.
