seriously, i wasn't keen on going for the Modern Levites Conference this time. i felt so tired because we've been having never-ending activities in church recently. i dragged myself to the thursday night session and it turned out pretty well- i wasn't VERY inspired, but i felt the presence of God when Paradise Band was leading worship. I was supposed to play with Vivien Hibbert during the children's services last Sunday and that was making me very jittery. So imagine my sleepy face on Sunday Morning, and in she comes with 3 Wind Instruments. Haha, she really taught me how to worship in a different way. I saw how she taught the children to worship God using their own childlike ways- it's very different as compared to how we've been trying to load them with new songs from planetshakers and hillsong and all. I was pretty amazed and awed by the whole worship session, especially when she taught the kids this Maori War Dance which you sing to scare S.A TAN away. :P
here comes the special bit, where i was very touched! At the end of it all, she prayed a special prayer for each and everyone of us in the band. and to me she said, " may the music that you write, you play and you sing prophesy of God's love" and my heart was like "awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww." At that moment, i felt so refreshed. She said alot more to me, but that sentence really spoke to me and it really helped to believe once again in the talents that God has given me.
You know, Darlene Zschech always talks about how Worship is actually WORTH-ship. That in everything that we do, it can be a form of worship to God, to tell Him how worthy he is of our praises and thanksgiving. Many times we probably cannot understand why certain things happen to us, but Vivien Hibbert reminded me of how we can worship God in the ways we know best, that when we worship God, we will also prophesy of His goodness.
So i'm very inspired. And as i prayed and asked God about her special prayer for me, here's what he reminded me of.
Charmaine-SONG of JOY
I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever: with my mouth will i make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
