light to the nations

for the past few days, i have been camping at Expo Halls 9 and 10. for what? For the annual G12 Conference.Here are some snapshots of the time spent at expo-the place of EXtraordinary POssibilities!

Hall 9 was practically a squatter community during meal times.
we had the record number of foreign delegates this year-1800!!!! *everyone goes whaaaaaaaaa*
But, our 7000 seater hall was hardly enough for everyone. it was filled to brim with the FCBC people and foreign delegates. Errr, Pastor Khong, where are we moving to next year? :P
my new friend Clara- who loved to play with us, and was eating her lunch really slowly. The food in her mouth lasts for 5 minutes before she swallows them. i think her mummy got irritated and put her in the pram for good-so she couldn't run around anymore. hahaha.

It was the Youthnet's turn to lead worship on Saturday night-the finale of the whole conference.
The Youth Choir did a great job for Jump Around!
The only sad thing was we had to eat Pasta for one whoollee day! hahaha

It took a twenty year old(who preached to the 7000) to teach a twenty year old me, how to love. If there was something that i really caught from the conference this year, it was definitely the actions of love and being a Christ-like Christian.

An example:

Mahatma Gandhi is one of the most respected leaders of modern history. A Hindu, Ghandi nevertheless admired Jesus and often quoted from the Sermon on the Mount. Once when the missionary E. Stanley Jones met with Ghandi he asked him, "Mr. Ghandi, though you quote the words of Christ often, why is that you appear to so adamantly reject becoming his follower?"

Ghandi replied, "Oh, I don't reject your Christ. I love your Christ. It's just that so many of you Christians are so unlike your Christ."

How many of us can say for certain that we lead a Christ-like life all the days of our lives? It is food for thought, and there is definitely room to change the way we are. How are we going to show the world what Christians are supposed to be?
